Questions about Christianity
"When I was about 19, I saw a book in a Cambridge shop window titled Why I Am Not a Christian by Bertrand Russell (note: a very well-known anti-Christian philosopher). At that moment, I asked myself: 'Do I dare read it?' I walked around for half an hour, then thought, what am I afraid of? I have to read it. And it turned out to be one of the most useful books I've ever read. Because to my astonishment, I discovered that Russell had not the slightest understanding of Christianity. I thought to myself, surely he must not have had any intelligent Christians among his friends or acquaintances. The book greatly strengthened my faith—just as reading Dawkins (note: perhaps the most well-known contemporary critic of religion) did."— John Lennox, renowned Oxford professor of mathematics and philosophy of science.

The term 'Christianity' arouses a series and a variety of associations and ideas. Some are positive and favourable, but others are rather negative and dismissive. In our country and culture it is clearly evident that it is the negative which have the supremacy/dominance. There are many reasons that this condition exists. On the one hand, the public's superficial knowledge of the subject has played a role and has, as a result, created very strong prejudices. On the other hand, we Christians are also to blame because, to add to all of this, we have contributed our own improper behaviour by ignoring God's commandments and principles. One way or another, I would like to point out God's view concerning various questions about the Christian life. In many of them, I will be starting from my own personal experience and prejudices, what I have seen around myself or which I, myself, held before my conversion.

Theologist Tyron Edwards has said:

"Prejudices are rarely overcome by argument; not being founded in reason they cannot be destroyed by logic."

Despite this fact, I believe that some of you will find the following arguments insightful.
