Questions about Mystery and Magic

Do mysteries, paranormal phenomena, and the supernatural also interest you? Do you desire supernatural powers or do you possess some yourself? Are you interested in sorcery? Have you experienced situations and phenomena in your own life which cannot be explained in a rational way? Would you rather look for help from initiated healers who are connected to a higher power instead of trusting secular doctors? If your interest has been aroused while reading these questions, I will try to satisfy your desire for answers in the areas of mysteries, sorcery, the occult, the esoteric, and the supernatural.

Our world is made up of a physical reality in which we exist. We are confined by physical, biological, and chemical laws that limit the possibilities in which we can move. Our bodies, made up of soft tissue, don't allow us to lift a greater weight than its amount allows. We cannot jump further than the power of gravity and energy gained at take-off allow. Our powers of hearing don't allow us to speak to another person at a longer distance. We can't walk through solid objects or see through them, either. Chemical processes in our brains don't allow us to connect to the thought processes of another and read his/her mind. The biological mechanisms of our body don't allow our body tissue to create a new limb in a short period of time. In short and just as well, our material reality creates a framework of possibilities through which we move and live our lives. It is at this point that materialistic philosophy (atheism), which believes that the material is an all-defining and all-encompassing reality, has been undermined/buried. However, is this new age and 'progressive' way of thinking correct?

Billions of people around the world would fundamentally disagree. From ancient times, people have been aware that another reality exists alongside the material (world) and goes beyond all our materialism. Certainly, people were subject to superstitions in earlier times and deified what are well-known phenomena today or intentionally deceived others. Sceptics and atheists use these reasons arbitrarily to explain almost every mystery and spiritual behaviour in all nations and cultures. However, millions of people have experienced a reality that exceeds our natural world. These experiences point to the fact that beyond the boundaries of our world there is a world of invisible forces, hidden powers, and dramatic/exciting possibilities. People have dreams revealing objective facts about past, present, or future events. They have supernatural powers and communicate with cosmic beings. Some have been taken off by unknown beings (UFOs) and others practice ancient occult teachings and can help people from a distance and leave their bodies and visit spirit worlds. This is just a fragment of what I want to cover in the following questions.

What is the relationship of the Christian faith, not to say the existence of God, to these supernatural phenomena? God created all that is physical and spiritual. Are these invisible powers and possibilities, therefore, safe ground that we can, as God's creation, investigate and enjoy? Or are there places that should stay hidden from our knowledge and experience? Allow me to offer my view as a person who was interested in many of these areas of the supernatural. Above all, I have known people, both personally and through others, who were devoted to sorcery, healing, and Satanism. They have had many experiences, which today's atheistic world would consider unreal and would sometimes label as insanity. In my conclusions therefore, I will not only argue from the standpoint of the Bible and religious parameters (though they are very important and the basis of our discussion of the spiritual world), but also from the practical experiences of a great number of devoted persons who have the most to say about our theme.
